There are two main paths to success in the K-Pop industry.
The first path involves survival shows, which are similar to shows like X Factor. Contestants participate individually, and at the end of the show, the highest-ranking contestants (based on public voting) form groups. After the show, entertainment labels sign these groups.
The second path involves forming groups from trainees who are already part of entertainment labels. These trainees receive training in singing, dancing, and rapping. They live together in dorms, and the most talented trainees will debut when the label is ready to introduce a new group.
